Environmental Responsibility is one of Austacem’s prerogatives. Committed to reduce the usage of paper for printing, recycling materials Austacem:
1. Adopted PDAs (Personal Digital Assistant) to control service orders and material orders through Wi-Fi;
2. Buys and uses low energy consumption equipment;
3. Sends to recycling centers all material surplus and remainders from wiring projects.

Green IT Program
The Green IT program is a sustainable solution that aims to rationalize the use of non-renewable resources with the management of waste from the disposal of structured cabling products. It gives the correct destination for tons of waste cables replaced by modernization of communication networks. This is part of set of simple actions that save energy and protect the environment of materials harmful to nature and to the human health.
Recycled raw materials are thus reused by other industries with large economies of natural resources and reduction in emission of greenhouse gases.
Under this initiative, organizations in different areas of national economic activity beyond the gain competitiveness promoted by its new technological environments the contribution in the social environment.
It was thinking of the duty of every one of us as citizens in order to search and implement best practices for the sustainability of the planet, that AUSTACEM is entered in Green IT Program conducted by Furukawa.
